About
A problem solver, in the long form.
I’m Ashley — an entrepreneur and technologist based in the West Midlands. I’ve spent the better part of a decade building businesses where compliance, technology, and people meet.
My driving force has always been the same: take on challenges I start with little or no information about, and find a way through them. That instinct turned into a career in financial services and fintech, and eventually into founding the Persici Group.
Today the group is three companies across four countries, working on money remittance, payments technology, and consulting. I care about doing regulated work properly, building tools that respect the people who use them, and leaving things a little better than I found them.
Outside the work, I write — about entrepreneurship, building under uncertainty, and the small systems that make a life run well.
What I stand for
Values
Solve the real problem
Start at the root, not the symptom. The cleverest solution to the wrong problem is still the wrong solution.
Compliance is craft
In regulated work, the rules are not friction — they are the form. Building inside them is the discipline.
Community first
The communities I build for are the reason any of it matters. Safe, simple, accessible — in that order.
The long game
Compounding beats cleverness. Build the kind of work you would be proud to still be doing in ten years.
